Building on the idea that organisations want to be self-sustaining in their development and evolving their people.  Drum Academy trains leaders to build Drums throughout their organisation.  This also means they are consistently improving their leadership skills, in real time, in real situations.

We’ve been working in Discovery Channel for the last 4 years, slowly growing connection, informal networks, innovative ways of working, trust and basically being a better place to work.

Here’s what Jamie Cook, Chief of Staff of EMEA says about the impact of Drum in Discovery.

This has been particularly important for me in my role as I lead multi-functional projects across EMEA – it gives me a pool of leaders to tap into who can talk honestly and move forward things without the need for complex project management frameworks and teams. The worst thing we can do is wait for decisions or allow people to get stuck by not knowing what to do. It has also allowed us to reduce our external training and development budget by 50% in 2 years for EMEA”

You need to experience Drum to know if you want to be a Drum Builder, so by the time you get to this stage you’ll be very clear if it’s for your organisation or not (you can’t lead a Drum without having been in one, it doesn’t work, we tried it!).
